The PeerCollaboration editions bring together a number Peer Software products into one convenient package. Each edition provides increasing levels of features and functionality. PeerCollaboration allows you to create a highly available, collaborative environment, with backup among branch office collaborative users. This is achieved through unobtrusive real-time mirroring and locking of files.
A recent study of 40,000 projects found that 66% of projects completely fail or are late, over budget or missing critical features. The cost overruns average an alarming 43% according to the Standish Group International. One factor that can contribute to these failures is geographical distance among project team members. Project teams now rarely have the luxury of working together in a single location. And they often lack even the assurance of having a stable team for the life of the project. Thus, as companies outsource more design and manufacturing services, their teams must find ways to work together across geographical and often company boundaries.

The Solutions
PeerCollaboration Basic: You are currently using Microsoft DFS-R, but are hamstrung by its lack of file lcoking for files that have been opened. You need PeerCollaboration Basic. This solution uses PeerLock to secures a user's files across a network of machines, ensuring that all copies of the files are locked while the user is working with the file.
PeerCollaboration Standard: You've outgrown your DFS installation, or you find that it does not provide you with the level of performance that you need, or you do not wish to go down the DFS route but do need to create a collaborative envirnment of up to 8 servers. You need PeerCollaboration Standard. This solution makes use of both PeerSync and PeerLock to replicate files across your network and lock any files that you in use.
PeerCollaboration Enterprise: You need to create a collaborative environment across national and international networks, or you need to bring your NetApp filers into a fully collaborative environment, or you want to achieve high speed file distribution without the huge expense of using WAN accelerators. You need PeerCollaboration Enterprise. This uses PeerLink to do all the above and a whole lot more.
